With one of the best atmospheres in the country, the UMN campus is full of lively people walking their animals, chilling in hammocks, or going out for a jog. The campus is big enough to get lost in, yet once you are able to navigate it, it feels like a small community. Everyone is super friendly, willing to help you find the right building or showing you the right bus stop. Yes, it is the third largest school in the country but the teachers, administration, and orientation officers do a wonderful job of encouraging students to get involved and to be active in their college community.

I think one of the best things about the University is its excellent education. It is an excellent institution, holds the students to high standards and includes comprehensive education programs.

The location of the school is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is nestled right on the Mississippi River and is very close to downtown Minneapolis. There are distinctly “college” neighborhoods, yet they blend seamlessly into the rest of Minneapolis.

If you LOVE school spirit, this is the college for you! There is so much pride within the students, instructors, and alumni of the U. From Gopher game days to just pride in our school, school spirt is a great way to get involved. It is great to see so many people coming together to cheer for our beloved gophers!

When graduating from the U, you are sure set to be financially comfortable as you will most likely have a job! About 90% of undergraduates are employed, are getting additional education, or are in the military. With a four year graduation rate of 61.0% , first-time students in the UMN Twin Cities class of 2015 who attended classes full-time were among the most likely in the nation to graduate on time.
